Carol previously worked with the Institute for Defense Analyses in several different capacities, including publication typist, secretary to a division director, and designer/writer of user's manuals and on-line help for an expert system. Prior to joining the Institute for Defense Analyses, she ran an after school child care program for Fairfax County . She is a graduate of Indiana University and holds a B.S. degree in elementary education.
Carol enjoys spending time with her family and reading. One of the highlights for her family was the year that they lived an adventure overseas in Alsace, France. She has also volunteered for many years at a local elementary school library and with the high school theater.
Carol enjoys books that allow her to "visit" other times and cultures. She recommends the following books as great reads: The Far Pavilions, Hanta Yo, and Till Morning Comes. |
